VIRAL: Spring brings three hackathons in Banja Luka, Mostar and Niksic
In the second half of May, a hackathon will be organized in Banja Luka, Mostar, and Niksic. Participants can apply the knowledge they acquired during their university education, and try to solve problems faced by companies from the agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. During the hackathon, the focus will be on the application of information technology through the development of software and/or hardware solutions

An interactive lecture by H.E. Valentin Inzko was held on March 17. online, via the Microsoft Teams platform. The organizers were the Student Union of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar and the Office of the High Representative. At the beginning of the lecture, the representative of the Student Union, Mirza Lalic, addressed the audience, and then the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Prof. Dr Asim Peco The Vice-Rector for Teaching emphasized the importance of proactive student action and more such activities but also that much greater investment in science and education in Bosnia and Herzegovina is needed.

Faculty of Law - Moot court hearing
On March 16, 2021, a moot court hearing in the case of Domestic Violence was held at the Faculty of Law of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.The moot court is the final activity implemented within the Project "Clinical Education for Law Students in BiH", which is implemented for the third year in a row by NCSC - National Center for State Courts - Office for Combating International Drug Trafficking and Law Enforcement of the US Department of State, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.
Lana Pudar, from the swimming club Orca, swam A standard in the 100-meter dolphin for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo and broke the national record. The President of the Swimming Club Orca, prof. dr. Damir Dedovic, and Lana's coach, senior TA Alena Cemalovic are teaching staff at Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. Josip Boskovic and Samir Gosto, students of the Department of Sports and Health, are members of the futsal national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina that qualified for the European Championship.
Faculty of Law: Debate competition
On March 9 and 10, 2021, a debate competition was held at the Faculty of Law of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.
The debate competition was organized by the Union of Students of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar and the Faculty of Law. Participants were students of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar and high school students from the City of Mostar.
The sixth online meeting with students on the exchange

The Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship
The Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship program awarded to graduate students attending master’s, juris doctoral, and doctoral programs. The available fields are economics, law, political science, and public policy. The aim of this fellowship is to introduce students to the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy as academic foundations for contemporary policy analysis, policy-relevant academic research, and other applied topics.
