The International Relations Office of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar held Erasmus Info Day on 13 October 2026 in Room 105 of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Prof. Dr. Rijad Novakovic, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, opened the event, which focused on sharing experiences from Erasmus+ mobility programmes and informing students about international study opportunities.
Students from different faculties and study cycles, including undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies, shared their experiences with international exchanges. Through their personal stories, they introduced their fellow students to the academic, cultural and personal benefits of studying abroad.
Several students who had spent an entire semester abroad shared their experiences. Among them, Adnan Turajlic described his exchange as one of the most memorable experiences of his life. He highlighted the value of meeting new people, discovering different cultures and developing new skills.
Amel Jazvin, Assistant at the Faculty of Education, also shared his experience with Erasmus+ mobility as a student and discussed his involvement in organising two Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs): Learning to Know European Sports Culture(s), in cooperation with Saarland University, and SportWell Adria, within the UniAdrion university consortium. He highlighted the importance of these programmes for international cooperation and knowledge exchange and encouraged students to apply for available mobility opportunities.
Lejla Skaljic also emphasised the importance of promoting Erasmus+ throughout the year. She highlighted how international mobility supports personal development, strengthens university internationalisation and contributes to building a more open and connected society.
Staff members of the International Relations Office moderated the discussion, provided information about mobility opportunities, and encouraged students to exchange experiences with their peers who had already participated in international programmes.
Erasmus Info Day gave students the opportunity to learn directly from their peers about international mobility, life abroad and the opportunities Erasmus+ offers for academic and personal development. The event also highlighted the importance of promoting international cooperation and encouraging students to participate in exchange programmes.
