FIT Coding Challenge
The 14th FITCC is completed. The 2021 edition included competitions in five categories: Programming Challenge, Game Programming, Innovation Challenge, Cyber Security and Game Party, a Job Fair, as well as three forums: Desirable 'soft' skills in the IT sector in BiH, Building a globally acceptable BiH operating from BiH - how to break into the world market and New challenges in accessing the labor market. During the two-day event, FITCC brought together 138 competitors, panelists, sponsors, students, and audiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar: visit of parliamentarians of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
On the 31st of May, representatives of the parliaments of the Federation of BiH visited Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. Rector Zlomusica informed them about the current situation at the university and asked for support regarding the Law on Income Tax and the Law on Contributions.
Cooperation with the Istanbul University
Yesterday, a delegation of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar visited Istanbul University. During the visit, the delegation met with associate professor Ayse Zisan Furat, Head of the International Academic Relations Unit of Istanbul University. The representatives of the two institutions talked about the establishment of the cooperation and possible areas of future cooperation and agreed that the first step is the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Online workshop of the University of Bologna about new Erasmus+ programme
International Relations Officer of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar took part in the online workshop ‘The New Erasmus Plus Programme and the Impact for Universities in Partner Countries’ organized by the University of Bologna. The workshop focused on the Universities from partner countries, opportunities offered, main novelties of the programme, the programme focus in terms of partnerships and project proposals.
Faculty of Economics: Strategy plans for for Bosnian and Herzegovinian exporters
Senior year students of the Faculty of Economics at Džemal Bijedić University in Mostar are creating international marketing plans for domestic exporters, partner companies of the University, in order to make them more competitive and ready for demanding and high-risk penetrations into international markets.
BEST Mostar: Motivational weekend
Members of student organisation BEST Mostar, used this weekend to spend some time away from their academic responsibilities, have fun and learn something new. During these two days, members had a chance to learn more about Conflict solving, Fund Raising, Online communication tools and work on their web page. Alumni members shared how being a part of BEST Mostar helped them in their lives and at their workplace during one of the sessions.
ICM - Kick-off meeting with Claude Bernard Lyon1 University
A kick-off meeting for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project coordinated by Claude Bernard Lyon1 University was held yesterday. The meeting was opened by H.E. Mrs. Christine Toudic, Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the two-and-a-half-hour-long meeting, project participants presented their higher education institution, discussed the context of the project, previous collaboration, main objectives, quotas, and fields of mobilities.
