Faculty of Law: Monograph Promotion

On 30 October 2026, the Faculty of Law of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar held the promotion of the monograph ‘50 Years of the Faculty of Law of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.’

Before the formal promotion, the Faculty held an alumni meeting. The programme continued with a visit to the accompanying mini-exhibition, A Book as a Witness to the Passage of Time, which presented the Faculty’s historical development and academic heritage through selected publications and documents.

On behalf of the Rector of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegovic, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Azra Spago, addressed the attendees. The Dean of the Faculty of Law and Editor-in-Chief of the Monograph, Prof. Dr. Amra Jasarbegovic, also addressed the attendees. Prof. Dr. Maja Colakovic and Prof. Dr. Suncica Hajdarovic, Vice-Dean for Science and Research, spoke about the Monograph’s content and significance.

The programme also featured a panel discussion with alumni of the Faculty of Law. The panellists included Mr Jasmin Branković, Assistant to the Federal Minister of Education and Science; Mr Kemal Maksumic, Prosecutor at the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in Mostar; Ms Aida Zerem, Director of the Institute for the Provision of Free Legal Aid of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Aldin Jelovac from the Faculty of Law of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. Attorney Faruk Cupina also addressed the attendees as a representative of the Faculty’s alumni. The participants shared their experiences and discussed the Faculty’s role in their academic and professional development.

Nejra Hrbinic, a member of the musical group Mostarske kise, enhanced the ceremony with a musical performance.

At the end of the programme, the Faculty presented certificates of appreciation to those who contributed to the preparation and publication of the Monograph. The event concluded with an informal gathering of the attendees.

The monograph promotion provided an opportunity to present a publication that brings together five decades of the Faculty of Law of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar’s history, development, academic achievements, and contributions in a single volume.
