Via Ferrata Experience

As part of the practical component of the Mountaineering and Alpinism course, second-year students from the Department of Kinesiology at the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar visited the Via Ferrata on Fortica on May 25, 2026.

With the support of Senior Teaching Assistant Vedran Ugljen, the students completed the adrenaline-filled route and gained valuable practical knowledge and experience in the fields of mountaineering and alpinism.

The suspension bridge, which marks the final section of the via ferrata, provided participants with a memorable experience and offered panoramic views of Mostar and its surrounding landscape.

Through this type of practical instruction, students apply theoretical knowledge in real-life conditions and develop the skills necessary for safe movement and outdoor activities in natural environments.
