International Staff Week 2026

From May 18 to 22, 2026, the University hosted representatives from partner universities within the Erasmus+ KA171 programme as part of the International Staff Week. Through a series of educational, cultural, and interactive workshops, the University introduced participants to the history and culture of Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The programme began on Monday with participant registration and a tour of the university campus. First-year Tourism Studies students, Emana Tabakovic and Armin Vuk, introduced the University and its facilities to the participants. The Faculty of Education then hosted a Bosnian language course, a video presentation about the International Relations Office created by students of the Faculty of Economics, and a presentation of the UniAdrion Italy network.

On the second day of the International Cooperation Week, the University welcomed representatives of the University of Sarajevo. The AgroMediterranean Faculty hosted the promotion of the book Interculturally Yours’ by Emre Seven. During the promotion, participants planted a tree as part of The Intercultural Forest Project’. Emre Seven then led a workshop dedicated to interculturality. After the official programme, Tourism Studies students guided participants on an organized city tour of Mostar.

The third day focused on local culture and physical activity. Participants learned how to prepare the traditional Herzegovinian dish kureljaca. After the culinary programme, Senior Teaching Assistant Amel Jazvin, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Dr. Rijad Novakovic, and students of the Department of Kinesiology organized and led mini Olympic games on the university sports fields. Participants concluded the day with a social gathering and a tasting of the prepared dishes.

On Thursday, participants of the International Staff Week attended activities that the University of Sarajevo organized as part of its International Staff Week.

On the final day of the programme, Prof. Dr. Adis Zilic delivered a lecture on stećci and led participants into a workshop on creating stecak-inspired souvenirs. Students of the University Study Programme in Interior Design, under the supervision of Professor Lejla Isic Dizdarevic, helped participants create the souvenirs. The University concluded this year’s International Staff Week by awarding certificates to participants and organizing karaoke activities during which the most successful participants won prizes.
