Faculty of Law: Workshop on Hate Speech Prevention

On May 22, 2026, the Faculty of Law at the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar organized a student workshop titled ‘Consequences and Prevention of Hate Speech’ in cooperation with the Atlantic Initiative as part of the project ‘Strengthening Tolerance and Pluralism through Legal Mechanisms.’

Through an interactive lecture and discussion with students, Prof. dr. Marija Lucic Catic and Prof. dr. Majda Halilovic explored the social, legal, and psychological consequences of hate speech. They focused on the challenges of online communication, increasing social polarization, and the importance of fostering a responsible public sphere.
