Learning Penology Through Practice

On January 12, 2026, fourth-year Law students and third-year students of the Criminology and Security Studies program, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Denis Pajic, visited the Semi-Open Correctional Facility in Mostar as part of their studies in the course Penology.

During the visit, the students engaged in discussions with the facility’s staff, who introduced them to the institutional treatment of convicted persons, basic security protocols, rehabilitation programs, and the challenges that arise in the process of resocialization.

This educational visit provided students with a deeper insight into the practical work and functioning of the facility, helping them better understand its important role in society.
