As part of the teaching process at the Tourism Studies Program of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, students implemented the project ‘Bridge Between Cultures’ within the course Project Management in Tourism.
Third-year Tourism student Salma Suta carried out the project under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Nikola Papac and Senior Teaching Assistant Lejla Skaljic Tanovic, MA.
The project aimed to strengthen intercultural dialogue, connect the local and international communities, and promote Mostar as a city open to diverse cultures. Through an interactive workshop, a knowledge quiz, and a panel discussion, UWC Mostar students exchanged experiences, views, and ideas about life in Mostar, their sense of belonging, and opportunities for future cooperation with the University.
Such projects highlight the importance of practical teaching, project-based learning, and active student involvement in addressing challenges in contemporary tourism and the local community.
