The University Launches the 49th Anniversary Program

The University launched its 49th anniversary program with a ceremonial reception for retired employees, honoring those who have strengthened the University’s development and reputation through many years of dedicated work.

The University held the reception in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Economics. Rector Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegović addressed the attendees, emphasizing that the academic community had built the University through decades of continuous work, a clear vision, and strong dedication.

During the program, the University management laid flowers at the bust of Džemal Bijedić and at the memorial to Mirsad Hujdur Hujka and his fellow soldiers. The University then hosted a joint luncheon and social gathering for the retired employees.

The University celebrates its 49th anniversary with a series of activities, including a presentation of its publishing activities, a student table tennis tournament, a ceremonial Senate session, a doctoral promotion ceremony, a friendly match between staff and students, and presentations of scientific and international projects.

The program will conclude on Saturday, February 14, 2026, with a Ceremonial Graduation and Diploma Award Ceremony.
