Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegović Re-elected as Rector of the University

The Senate of the University re-elected Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegovic as Rector at its session held on 29 January 2026. The mandate period is four years.

The Senate adopted the decision unanimously.

During the previous mandate, the University implemented several projects and activities, including the opening of the ‘Antalija’ Student Dormitory, construction of the first phase of the University’s sports facilities, reconstruction of the University’s shared building, completion of the institutional accreditation process, improvements to the student standard, an increase in student enrolment, introduction of new study programmes, amendments to normative acts, development of international cooperation, and strengthening of publishing and research activities.

In the next mandate period, the University plans to continue its infrastructure projects, develop new study programs, expand cooperation with partner institutions, and undertake activities related to the University’s work and development.
