PELMOB Project Final Conference Held

A two-day PELMOB Project Final Conference was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, bringing together numerous project partners, teachers, students, and guests from the country and abroad.

During the first day of the conference, project partners had meetings to present achieved project results, analyze the challenges and opportunities, and discuss the future cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amela Piralic, Vice-Rector for Science and Research at Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, and Prof. Dr. Mirna Nozic, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the participants. They emphasized the importance of the project for improving the teaching process, developing engineering competencies, and strengthening international cooperation.

The project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, Rector of the University of Pristina with headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica (UPKM), greeted the participants. Prof. Arsić emphasized that the University actively follows contemporary trends in higher education and strives to improve the quality of teaching and research work through joint projects.

On the second day of the conference, Prof. Dr. Đani Rahimić, President of the City Council of the City of Mostar, and Prof. Dr. Rijad Novaković, Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, opened the formal part of the conference.

Prof. Rahimic and Prof. Novakovic emphasized the importance of the PELMOB project for strengthening ties between the academic community, local government, and the business sector, and praised the results achieved during its three-year implementation.

The PELMOB Fair was also organized as part of the conference.  It was an opportunity for participants to see electric vehicles thanks to the cooperation with the company Auto Nuic ltd., as well as a presentation of innovative solutions developed within the project. The fair attracted great attention. It was an example of how to apply in practice the gained knowledge and technologies resulting from the cooperation of partner institutions.

The results of the PELMOB project are an important step towards modernization of study programs, developing sustainable mobility, and the advancement of technical sciences in the region.
