Workshop and Discussion: 'Human Rights, Anti-Discrimination, and Gender Equality, with a Focus on Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence'

To mark March 8 – International Women's Day, a lecture with a workshop and discussion titled 'Human Rights, Anti-Discrimination, and Gender Equality, with a Focus on Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence' was organized as part of the UNIGEM project.

To mark March 8 – International Women's Day, a lecture with a workshop and discussion titled 'Human Rights, Anti-Discrimination, and Gender Equality, with a Focus on Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence' was organized as part of the UNIGEM project. Professor Dr. Rebeka Kotlo, the UNIGEM project coordinator at the University, delivered the lecture on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM at the Faculty of Law.

During the lecture, participants analysed human rights, anti-discrimination, gender equality, violence against women, the fight against gender-based violence, and the protection of women, with a special focus on protecting women victims of human trafficking. They engaged in theoretical education and practical work through the workshop and discussion.

The British Embassy financially supports the project, and the TPO Foundation coordinates its implementation. The project partners with 20 universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro, including the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.

The project aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence, discrimination, and sexual harassment while ensuring integrity and quality in higher education.
