To celebrate World Water Day on March 22, the Hutovo Blato Nature Park together with the The Fund for Environmental Protection of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton hosted an educational workshop on water quality.
The workshop allowed participants to explore methods for monitoring water quality. They learned how to sample water and analyse key parameters such as pH value, dissolved oxygen levels, water temperature, and the presence of specific chemical compounds.
Students from the Agro-Mediterranean Faculty, accompanied by their course professor, Prof. Dr. Vedrana Komlen, joined the workshop.
Fieldwork provided students with practical experience to support their future research and professional development.
World Water Day encourages everyone to manage water resources responsibly, raise ecological awareness, and promote sustainable development.
Students from the Faculty of Agronomy and Food Technology, Faculty of Science and Education at the University of Mostar, and students from the Mostar Gymnasium also participated.
