SUNRISE: Kick-off meeting

The work of the SUNRISE Alliance officially began with a kick-off meeting at Ilmenau Technical University. On that occasion, delegations of all partner universities gathered.

The delegation of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar attended the kick-off meeting. They pointed out that the Alliance will open and achieve new opportunities for academic and research work and address key issues in the fields of education and innovation.

SUNRISE is a strategic alliance of nine universities that promote innovative and sustainable regional development. The Alliance strives to strengthen collaboration between members in key areas of higher education, including teaching, research, innovation, and social engagement.

As part of the Alliance, the Universities will work on joint projects that will contribute to better connectivity and exchange of knowledge and experiences, while providing new opportunities for students, researchers, and academic staff.

SUNRISE Alliance includes a total of 62,500 students, 49 faculties, 4,808 researchers, and more than 500 Erasmus+/Horizon projects.

Cooperation within the Alliance will contribute to creating a dynamic and innovative academic environment, through the realization of many joint projects, the mobility of students and professors, and the improvement of research and educational capacities across Europe.
