The University Presented Its Publishing Activities

To mark the 48th anniversary of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, the Faculty of Education organized a presentation to showcase the University's publishing activities in 2024.

The presentation displayed six monographic and eight serial publications.

In addition to its educational and scientific and research activities, the University is also active in terms of publishing activities. Through these activities, the University presents some of its scientific and research work to the public.

The Pedagogical Academy in Mostar published the first monographic publication in 1969. The University has published a total of 411 works, including nine serials that consist of 168 volumes, featuring 2,283 scientific and professional papers and reviews.

The University Library has gathered the entire publishing activity into its Archive Collection and made it available in the online catalogue. The catalogue contains bibliographic data on all serial publications, providing researchers with easy access through the online catalogue of the Virtual Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which the University Library is a member.

In 2023, the COBISS system completed the creation of the D-repository for the Archival Collection of the University Library.

Three bibliographies published in the past two years feature monographic publications from the University up until 1991, doctoral dissertations defended at the University from 1997 to 2023, and 1,173 scientific and professional papers and reviews published in four journals from social sciences by the University’s Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics.

The University plans to compile two more bibliographies. One will include monography published from 1992 to 2024, while the other will cover the scientific and professional works and reviews published in the remaining five serial publications: Istraživanja, Hercegovina, Slovo o, Eduka, and Sportski logos.
