The Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar held a ceremonial event in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Humanities to mark its 48th anniversary and promote new doctors of science.
The University's rector, Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegovic, introduced three candidates from the doctoral study program in European Law at the Faculty of Law.
Sanja Pajic received the title of Doctor of Science in the field of Social Sciences, specializing in Civil Law, Civil Procedural Law, and International Private Law.
Hana Sarkinovic Köse received the title of Doctor of Science in the field of Social Sciences, specializing in Constitutional Law.
Amila Koso received the title of Doctor of Science in the field of Social Sciences, specializing in Administrative Law and Administration, and Constitutional Law.
During the promotion ceremony, the Vice-Rector for Science and Education, Prof. Dr. Azra Spago, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Prof. Dr. Adnan Velagic, and the mentors addressed the audience. They presented the candidates' biographies, their previously acquired academic titles, the report of the doctoral dissertation, and the report on the candidates' contributions to scientific research.
The final activities in the 48th-anniversary celebration program include the solemn session of the University Senate on Friday, February 14, and the promotion and diploma awarding on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
