The 48th-anniversary of work and development of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar continued yesterday in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The University introduced completed scientific research and international projects, as well as those approved for implementation in 2024. At the beginning, Vice-Rector for Science and Research, assistant professor Amela Piralic addressed the attendees. She emphasized that implementing research and scientific projects strengthens the University’s capacities and enhances its competitive position in the region.
The University presented several projects, including SUNRISE, Horizon Europe IDEAL-IST2027, 5 COST actions, and 2 ERASMUS+ projects, as well as the continuation of the SmartWB project. These projects aim to strengthen the University’s infrastructure, develop education, and advance scientific and research work.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported 9 scientific research projects, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH showcased projects within Horizon Europe and bilateral cooperation with Slovenia. Finally, the University highlighted projects that are being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Herzegovina Neretva Canton, focusing on educating CNC programmers and small and medium-sized enterprises.
