Professor Aida Sukalic delivered an educational presentation focused on the harmful effects of energy drinks on the health of young people.
During the lecture, she discussed the negative impact of high levels of caffeine, sugar, and other ingredients found in energy drinks, as well as the growing trend of their consumption among young people. Edina Berberović, a student at the Faculty of Agro-Mediterranean Sciences, also took part in the presentation and shared her experiences and relevant facts on the topic with the students.
The lecture targeted students of this secondary school and placed special emphasis on the health consequences of excessive consumption of energy drinks.
Professor Sukalic held the lecture on December 15, 2025, at the premises of the Salih-Salko Curic Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Mostar. At the end of the session, students completed knowledge tests, and the presenters introduced healthier alternatives to energy drinks.
