Students from the Agro-Mediterranean Faculty of the University, the Agro-Mediterranean and Food Technology of the University of Mostar, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Mostar took part in the final StudentTalks event of this year’s GenChange program, where they addressed the challenges of climate change and the role of young people in building a sustainable and resilient future.
EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca joined the discussion with the students, together with the ambassadors of EU member states Sarah Eti Castellani, Helena Lagerlöf, Jana K. Lolic Sindelková, and Damijan Sedar.
Panelists Layla Jusko, a climate activist, and Muhamed Garib, an agricultural engineer, shared their experiences and ideas for solutions to climate challenges. Students actively participated through discussions and questions, exchanging ideas and proposals for implementation in their local communities.
As part of the event, participants visited the GenChange student fair, where they learned about the work of international student organizations operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event demonstrated that young people, through their ideas and engagement, can initiate concrete changes toward a sustainable future.
