Faculty of Humanities Hosts Book Promotion on Statehood Day

On November 21, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities at the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar hosted the promotion of ‘Letters of Hamdija Kresevljakovic to Muhamed Hadzijahic (1938–1959),’ prepared by Amer Maslo, research associate at the Oriental Institute of the University of Sarajevo.

The Faculty organized the event in partnership with the Archive of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Oriental Institute of the University of Sarajevo. Amer Maslo, Prof. Dr. Amir Duranovic, and Prof. Dr. Almir Maric spoke about the book and its significance. They highlighted that the correspondence between the two prominent Bosnian intellectuals provides insight into the cultural, historiographical, and social life of Bosnia and Herzegovina over nearly two decades.

By hosting the promotion ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Statehood Day, the organizers emphasized the importance of preserving the country’s cultural and historical heritage to better understand its statehood and identity.
