45 Years of the University Library

The University Library marked its 45th anniversary with the participation of staff members, students, and representatives of the academic community.

On the occasion of the jubilee, celebrated on 16 December, the Library organised the promotion of five University bibliographies and opened the exhibition entitled ‘45 Years in the Mission of Science, Knowledge and Education: The University Library of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar’, which chronologically presents the development of the Library from its establishment to the present day. As part of the programme, the Library also presented five bibliographies authored by Mr Edita Mulaosmanović, MA, and Jasminka Trešnjo, BA Librarian, which showcase a segment of scientific and research work and were published within the University’s publishing activities.

During the jubilee celebration, the Library awarded the ‘Best Reader’ recognition to Adnan Turajlic, a third-year student of Criminology and Security Studies at the Faculty of Law, for the highest number of visits and borrowed library materials. The programme also featured a poetry recital by Muhamed Ahmuljić, a fourth-year student of the Department of Bosnian Language and Literature, who recited a poem from his own poetry collection.

The ceremonial programme took place in the premises of the University Library, reaffirming its importance for the development of the University, scientific research, and education.
