On April 24, Mechanical Engineering Faculty hosted several workshops that allowed students to explore modern technologies through hands-on activities.
During the 3D printing and scanning workshop, students modelled basic objects, operated a 3D printer, and used a 3D scanner to digitize items for practical use in various fields.
In the solar energy workshop, students demonstrated how solar panels generate electricity, explained how to store and apply that energy, and discussed why renewable sources matter for the future.
Instructors led a session on non-destructive testing (NDT), where students practiced testing materials without damaging them and learned how these methods support industrial safety and efficiency.
By the end of the day, students gained new skills, discovered real-world applications of STEM, and imagined future careers shaped by technology and sustainability.
