SmartWB: Urban Innovation for a Low-Carbon Future

The Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar organized a promotional event for the SmartWB project: Climate-Smart Urban Environment, Low-Carbon Technologies, and Blue-Green Infrastructure. The event took place on March 27, 2025.

The SmartWB promotional event brought together representatives of relevant ministries and public institutions for urban development, non-governmental organizations, and experts from small and medium-sized enterprises. The organizers emphasized reducing greenhouse gas emissions through innovative climate urban planning.

Project leader, Prof. Dr. Merima Sahinagic-Isovic, emphasized the importance of raising awareness within both the academic and non-academic communities about the increasing urbanization of cities. She highlighted the need to develop green spaces, relocate parking areas from city centers, and plan bicycle lanes to reduce or limit carbon dioxide emissions.
