Knowledge quiz

On April 14, the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar organized the first round of a knowledge quiz for high school seniors from the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, held in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Humanities.

Three-member teams of high school seniors answered the quiz questions, demonstrating their general knowledge, competencies, skills, and team spirit, which enriched the competitive atmosphere as they fought for a place in the next round. The participating teams represented their schools, with 29 teams and in total 89 competitors registered for the event.

Prof. Dr. Rijad Novakovic, Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation, opened the program. He highlighted that the quiz serves as an opportunity for high school seniors to connect with the University, socialize with students, and build new friendships. He emphasized that besides testing knowledge, the event aims to develop teamwork, logic, and resourcefulness. He also announced prizes for the top-performing teams, including cash awards, unique gifts, and free tuition for the first year of studies — each worth 400.00 KM — for three students from the winning team.

After the initial matches and duels, four teams secured their spots in the semifinals: Stolac High School Team 1, ‘Salih Salko Curic’ Electrical Engineering School Mostar Team 3, Second Gymnasium Mostar Team 2, and Mostar Gymnasium Team 1.

The semifinals and finals of the quiz for high school seniors will take place on April 15 at 9:30 AM in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Humanities.
