High School Pupils Visit University in April

During April, the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar hosted more than a thousand high school pupils from the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through various activities such as school visits, a knowledge quiz, and Open Door Day, the University provided students with the opportunity to get acquainted with its study programs, professors, students, and infrastructure.

During the visits, pupils toured faculties, laboratories, classrooms, institutes, and libraries, spoke with professors and students, and received valuable information about enrolment, scholarships, and future career opportunities.

The final event was Open Door Day when high school seniors visited the information booths of the faculties and university programs, gathered more information about the available options, and experienced the atmosphere of student life.

The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegovic, expressed her satisfaction that more than a thousand students had the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the University. She emphasized her hope that many of them would soon become students at the University. She also highlighted that the University is not just an educational institution, but a space where knowledge, ideas, and visions meet. The University educates future lawyers, engineers, educators, economists, computer scientists, artists, and other professionals. In addition to academic excellence, the University is committed to nurturing interpersonal values, openness, dialogue, and collaboration.

These activities have demonstrated the University’s dedication to being a partner for young people in making life decisions and contributing to education as the foundation of social progress.
