Back to Neretva: Students for Community and Nature

Students from the second year of Tourism Studies launched a campaign called ‘Vratimo se Neretvi’ to remind people of the value Neretva holds for Mostar — not only as a river, but as a space for gathering, living, and friendship.

They recorded a short video on the Neretva beach “Ploča” and delivered a message about the importance of returning to the river, not for the past, but for the future they can build along its banks. The video highlights the potential of natural spaces to bring people together and support the development of the local community. The students also emphasize the importance of preserving river areas as places for social connection, recreation, and sustainable use of natural resources.

Esma, Senad, and Lejla, implemented the project under the mentorship of Professor Veldin Ovcina and Assistant Sara Kljajic.
