SUNRISE alliance: WP6 working group online meeting

On September 18, 2024, an online meeting of a Work Package 6 working group was held. The working group discussed the communication and marketing plan orientations, namely the internal and external communication strategy and communication management.

In terms of internal communication, the working group talked about the Internet Online Platform, that might be created as a part of the Virtual Campus/Management Platform under WP2. SUNRISE Newsletter will be the key communication tool. It will be developed centrally and distributed internally within the universities. The newsletter will be issued in English, targeting one specific group of users such as students and career offices. It is possible to be issued at the alliance level on an ad hoc basis.

Regarding external communication, the key communication tool will be the SUNRISE website, and it will be in English language only. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram YouTube, and X will be social media used for promotion and preferably launched at the same time possibly before the start of the project.  The feeds from each university shall be provided on a daily or weekly basis to the manager of each social media channel. The current website needs to be redesigned.

As for communication management, the working group decided that each University would nominate a regional manager who would be responsible for providing content to the alliance-level communication channels. A central social media management team will be formed. It will comprise all regional managers plus two to three people from WP6 leaders. This team will be responsible for defining the global strategy, coordinating content, and ensuring consistency. The central team will be reinforced by a technical team mostly from WP6 leaders. The rotation of channel management roles will be decided within the alliance subsequently.
