Volunteer activities at the University for Jablanica, Konjic and other places

The University "Dzemal Bijedic" of Mostar, along with the Student Union, organized various events to raise money for the areas affected by severe floods in Donja Jablanica, Konjic, and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On October 7th and 8th, the Student Union coordinated with student associations from all faculties to initiate a voluntary fundraising campaign. They collected donations at all faculties from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and donated the funds to the organization "Pomozi.ba" to purchase water, food, and essential supplies.

In addition to fundraising, the Student Union launched a volunteer registration for cleanup efforts and other activities, aiming to assist those in need in Jablanica.

On October 9, 2024, students organized a blood donation campaign at the student health center in the Antalya student dormitory from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

University raised 20,000 KM to support areas affected by natural disasters, floods, and landslides in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, specifically in Jablanica, Konjic, and surrounding regions. Faculty and University Rectorate contributions underscored their collective commitment to humanitarian goals.

They donated the collected funds to the Muslim Charity Society Merhamet, one of the oldest humanitarian organizations in the Balkans, which will direct the aid to those in greatest need.

On October 16, 2024, students from the university, along with the Student Union, participated in a volunteer action at Merhamet, sorting food and clothing for distribution.
