Spanish Ambassador Visits Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar

Yesterday, the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar hosted H.E. María Molina Álvarez de Toledo, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina. She arrived with her delegation, which included Mr. Daniel Arteta Rodríguez, Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Pierino Tumbas Deldum, Honorary Consul of Spain in Mostar, and Mr. Jaime Sanz Burdiel, a Spanish language fellow at the University.

Rector Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegovic, alongside Vice-Rector for Teaching and Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Azra Spago, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Doc. Dr. Amela Piralic, and International Relations Officer Mirsada Behram, welcomed the Ambassador and her delegation.

Rector Huseinbegovic greeted the Ambassador and congratulated her on assuming her new role, wishing her success. She outlined the University’s rich history, highlighted its key role in the local community, and emphasized various ongoing and planned projects. She also reaffirmed the University’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Spanish higher education institutions.

Ambassador Molina Álvarez praised the University’s leadership for successfully implementing its projects. She expressed her dedication to deepening collaboration, particularly in education, science, culture, research, infrastructure, and the mobility of students, faculty, and staff. Her visit advanced the relationship between the University and the Kingdom of Spain, paving the way for mutual growth and new opportunities.
