International Staff Week at UNMO 2024 held

The 4th edition of the International Staff Week at the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar ended on Friday, 05.07.2024. Office for International Cooperation organized a series of activities aimed at promoting the Erasmus+ program and raising awareness on the importance of internationalization of higher education.

On Monday, the participants of the International Staff Week had the opportunity to walk around the University campus and visit the faculties. After that, they had a crash course in the Bosnian language.

On Tuesday, the participants were able to meet the management of the University. After that, they attended the presentation of the University as a study destination. Representatives of partner universities also presented their universities. The program for Tuesday ended with the workshop "The Importance of Wander in the Learning Process" held by Sura Tekin from Nigde Omer Halisedmir University. At the same time, the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering presented a project of a car on a potential accumulating energy.

Wednesday was reserved for going to Sarajevo and participating in the workshop "Erasmus gone wrong" as part of the International Staff Week at the University of Sarajevo.

According to the International Staff Week program for Thursday, prof. Ida Skubis from the Silesian University of Technology lectured on artificial intelligence. After the knowledge quiz about the Erasmus program and the European Union, the participants met with the  University students and staff on exchange. The program ended with an aerobics class in the newly opened sports hall of the Faculty of Education.

On Friday, participants of the International Staff Week of the University of Sarajevo joined the program. Students of the Agro-Mediterranean Faculty and the Faculty of Information Technology presented projects of a smart greenhouse and a green wall while students of the University Study Program of Tourism, the Faculty of Economics, and the University Study Program of Business Informatics presented their business plans. The guests also had the opportunity to see the videos made by the students of the University Study of Business Informatics, the Faculty of Economics, and the University Study of Tourism, namely 'The Legend of Blagaj', 'Lukomir  - the oldest village in Bosnia and Herzegovina', 'Bosnian mountain horse' and 'IT nomads'.

The hosts of this edition of the Week for International Cooperation were the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Teaching, and the Faculty of Agriculture.
