The vice rector of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, prof. Ph.D. Alena Huseinbegović hosted the President of the City Council of the City of Mostar, Salem Marić, on the occasion of the presentation of the Decision on the payment of a grant of 600 000 KM for the project, the construction of sports fields on the campus of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.

"The initiative came from the Department of Sports and Health of the Teaching Faculty of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar with the aim of strengthening all forms of sports activities at our University, not only for students but for all citizens who want to play sports. In addition to the soccer fields, there is also a basketball court, a volleyball court, a throwing area, a distance pit, and in addition, we have planned a facility that would contain a fitness center, as well as a number of multifunctional facilities, as well as hotel rooms, which will house sports teams that will come to competitions at the University. " said Prof. Ph.D. Alena Huseinbegović, Rector of Dzemal Bijedic University.

In the coming period, there will be a public call for the development of the project, and the first phase of the implementation of the project for the construction of sports fields and facilities is expected in the near future.
