On October 2, 2023, the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar joyously celebrated the official commencement of the new academic year 2023/2024 for first-year students at the sports hall of the University-Sports Recreational Center (USRC) "Midhad Hujdur Hujka" in Mostar. They celebrated this significant moment through a traditional event - known as "Brucoški sat" (Freshmen Hour).

Numerous prospective students and their parents, alongside university officials, came together for the ceremony.

Professor Alena Huseinbegović welcomed the new students with words of encouragement, urging them to dedicate their student days with passion and commitment. She emphasized, "Dear students, with today's ceremony, a new chapter in your lives begins. In the years of study ahead, be diligent and hardworking, demonstrate effort and dedication, foster camaraderie, curiosity, creativity, and actively participate in student organizations, engage in socially responsible activities and events, explore all the opportunities that studying offers, and together with us, contribute your skills to the development, improvement, and modernization of the University."

The event was filled with energy and enthusiasm, foreshadowing a successful journey for the new students. After the ceremony, students had the opportunity to get to know each other and their future professors. Parents expressed their support and pride in their children's decision to continue their education at the Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar.

This festive commencement promises a bright future for the new students as the University "Džemal Bijedić" continues its mission of educating and inspiring future leaders and experts.
