Organized by the Faculty of Law and the Student Union of the University "Džemal Bijedić" of Mostar, a debate on the topic "Bosnia and Herzegovina should have the text of the national anthem" was held today. This debate marked the central event at the University in celebration of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Rector of the University "Džemal Bijedić" of Mostar, Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegović, opened the debate, emphasizing the importance of this topic for the country. In her address, she congratulated everyone present on the Statehood Day, emphasizing that Bosnia and Herzegovina deserves a national anthem text that all citizens of the homeland can feel and accept.
Before the start of the debate, congratulations on the Statehood Day were extended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Amra Jašarbegović, and the President of the Student Union, Kenan Begović.
Through a lively exchange of views, supreme criteria, and arguments, the affirmative team of students achieved an absolute victory, advocating the idea that Bosnia and Herzegovina should have the text of the national anthem.
The event was concluded by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Prof. Dr. Adnan Velagić. Along with congratulations on the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he also congratulated the winning team of today's debate. After that, the minister reminded those present of historical facts related to the continuity of the existence of the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
