Final Day of Debating Competition at Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar

Gymnasium Bugojno 1 was a winner of a two days long debating competition organized by the Student Union of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, Faculty of Law and Association of law students with the support of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The semi finals and final took place today on 17.03.2023.  The competition was held  in the moot courtroom of the Faculty of Law. 

After the opening of the debating competition and introductory debates,  teams of Gymnasium Bugojno 1, Electrical Engineering School "Salih-Salko Ćurić" 3, "Pro et Contra," and Gymnasium Bugojno 2 progressed to the semifinals. The teams debated on "Should user comments under articles on portals be banned?"

 "Should hate speech on the Internet be punished more severely?" was the topic saved for the finale, with the teams "Pro et Contra" and Gymnasium Bugojno 1 facing each other. 

Samir Imamović, a from the "Pro et Contra" team, was the best debater in the competition. After the final debate,  the participants had an opportunity to see the presentation of the Faculty of Law and the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. All participants were awarded with the certificates, including the certificate for the best debaters and everyone who contributed to the organization and implementation of the debating competition.
