International Cooperation Day 2023 held

International Day at UNMO was held on Friday 07.07.2023, in the crowded Amphitheater of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

For the sixth year in a row, the International Relations Office organized an event that celebrates Erasmus+ programme and the achievements of the University in the field of student and staff mobility.

The Day of International Cooperation was opened by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Associate Professor. dr. Rijad Novakovic, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation for the University, as well as the significance of mobility for students and staff, and the determination of the University to be involved in internationalization processes.

After the presentation of the work of the Office for International Cooperation, the audience had an opportunity to hear the testimonial of Ilhan Ibrahimkadić, a student at the Faculty of Information Technologies, and Anesa Džiho, a student at the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities, who spoke about their experience as students on mobility and why, in their opinion, students should decide to go on a mobility. Anes Beganovic, a student at the Faculty of Law The presented the work of the Student Union. The project 'I do not want to be a number on an Employment Bureau’ was presented by Ana Krulj and Azra Kozo, students of the Faculty of Economics, while the project 'Ministry of Marketing' was presented by Anes Music, a student of the Faculty of Information Technologies. The 'Smart Mirror' project was presented by the Mimea team: Haris Gusic, Vedad Traljo, Lana Mustafic and Selma Memic, students of the Faculty of Information Technologies. The Mimea Team are finalists in the 2023 Microsoft Imagine Cup competition for students.

The international dimension of the event was emphasized by the presence of representatives of 24 universities from the European Union and the Republic of Turkey.

The Office for International Cooperation of the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar is the organizer of the Day of International Cooperation together with the Office for International Relations of the University of Sarajevo.
