International Day at UNMO was held yesterday, in the crowded Amphitheater of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
For the fifth year in a row, the International Relations Office organized an event that celebrates Erasmus+ programme and the achievements of the University in the field of student and staff mobility.
In addition to the presentation of the IRO work and the presentation of the Universitity's international visibility, participants had the opportunity to listen to presentations of incoming student Ogulcan Kurt from Kirklareli University and Emina Handzic, outgoing student from the Faculty of Information Technology.
The motto of this year's edition was ‘University as part of the community’ and attendees were able to see presentations on the FIT coding challenge by Denis Tojaga, a FIT student. The Ablando en Acustico project was presented by Celia Jimenez Pozo, Spanish language lecturer and Marija Raspudić alumni of the Tourism Study. BEST Mostar activities were presented by students Džana Ždralović and Mirza Bajramović, while ESN Mostar was presented by student Adin Orahovac. Vildana Kubat, a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, spoke about the debate as an extracurricular activity at the Faculty of Law, while Ivo Marić, a fourth-year student at the Department of Sports and Health, presented the work of the Orka swimming club and Lana Pudar's success.
The Day of International Cooperation was opened by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Associate Professor. dr. Rijad Novaković, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation for the University, the number of achieved mobilities of students and staff in 2021/22 and the University's efforts to become a reliable partner in Erasmus + exchange projects.
The international dimension was highlighted by the presence of representatives of 26 EU universities and Kutahya Dumlupinar University of the Republic of Turkey.
The International Day at UNMO is organized the event in with the Office for International Relations of the University of Sarajevo.
The event was supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Sarajevo.
