Presentation of publications published by the University in 2020

A presentation of the publishing activities of the University for 2020 was organized in the Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Humanities on February 9, 2021., as a part of the celebration of the 44th anniversary of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar.

14 monographs and 8 serial publications were presented, as well as the Catalogue of Selected Works of Art of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. Vice-deans for science and research presented the publications of professors and associates from their respective Faculties, all published in 2020. Journals that are regularly published at faculties were also presented.

The University started its publishing activities long before its official founding. The first monographic publication ‘History of the Middle Ages’ by Nijaz Slipičević, was published in 1969 by the Pedagogical Academy in Mostar.

There are about 380 monographic publications published by the Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar. 344 monographic publications are preserved, and they make the Archive Collection of the University Library. The missing 33 editions disappeared in a fire in May 1993, when the University Library building with its entire book fund of 100,000 book units completely burned down.

Also, the University is the publisher of 17 serial publications, of which eight are published on regular basis. More than a thousand scientific and professional papers have been published in these journals.

The entire publishing activity was encompassed by the Archive Collection of the University Library and presented through the online catalogue of the library.
